These two recording have a very long and sordid history. They are both based on a recording made back in 1987. The original source came from a dead television station which was putting out a strange tone that seemed to modulate in unpredictable ways. About 45 minutes of this was recorded and then manipulated with effects and layered with other sounds such as percussion loops and recordings of the street outside the window. The second phase did not occur until 1996 when the recordings were again reprocessed into a digital DAT master which is what was used for this final version.

The tracks are "static" ambient pieces designed for meditative purposes and also work very well for those who like something soft to listen to as the go to sleep (hence the reference to Morpheus, god of sleep).
