SPAM ANIMALS (1986-1987)

Spam Animals is really only a convenient header for a series of ad hoc collaborations with Chris Peterson which were done during 1986 & 1987. A lot of the material produced by this pairing was very much "tongue in cheek" and, to a certain extent, this puts the work in the category of a "fuck band" in that it was often about indulging in private jokes rather than trying to produce anything too serious.

On December 5, 1986, a multimedia performance was held at Channel One Klub (click here to see the poster, click here to see the press release) which is documented in the Omnidiscomtited video. This was the only live performance related to this project.

Video productions related to this project include Sarcous, Coitus & Quietus which included the song Breakthrough as the soundtrack and the TTV (Blair Stapleton) produced Modem & Dandelion Wine videos and finally the Meat Cleaver video which utilized processed footage of Bea Arthur as Maude.
